Antique 19th C. Double Lid Tramp Art Box with Hand Carved Fretwork
Antique 19th C. Double Lid Tramp Art Box with Hand Carved Fretwork. Tramp art box with a hinged lid. On top of the main compartment is a smaller compartment that is skinned with a hand painted rowing print. Remnants of the original label of the cigar box is seen on the inside of the larger compartment. Three panels of hand carved fretwork adorn the exterior of the lower half of the box with a chip carved footing. In very good condition with wear consistent with the age. The smaller lid on top has a pin missing from the hinge.
