Antique 19th C. Continental Gouache Moonlit Riverscape, Framed (from Joseph Jefferson Collection, ca. 1840). Antique nocturne painting on paper of a shoreline of a river with moonlit clouds and dark vegetation. Housed and matted under glass in a gilt frame. Not inspected out of the frame. The painting appears to be in very good condition. The frame is in used condition with cracks throughout in the gesso. Detail photos are taken in the bright light to highlight the cracks.
