Vintage Brazilian Folk Art Terracotta Figurative Sculpture by Vitalino Filho, Stamped. Five figures stand in a line. One is riding a donkey, another is carrying an axe with a baby on his back, a mother carrying a pot on her head and a child in the other arm, a man with a hat carrying a pig, and a young girl carrying a pail and a chicken. A goat and a dog stand to the right of the figures. Unglazed terracotta with painted eyes. Stamped on the bottom. In fair condition with wear consistent with age. The hand holding the axe has broken off. Three black marks are present (two on the back and one on the side). These marks may have something to do with the firing method.
