Born in 1943, Clayton Anderson studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and worked with Ben Kimihira, Walter Stuempfig and Hobson Pittman.

He is a surrealist painter and a member of the California Visionary Artists Group.

Clayton Anderson's artist statement:

"Over the years my Geminian nature has led me to develop a number of visually distinctive painting styles. Although the stylistic elements in my art have varied, there has been a unifying factor consistently running through my paintings which reflects a deep love for the unique, spiritual alchemy that arises from the combination of Beauty and Mystery.“
