Early 20th C. Folk Art Horse and Rider Painting in A Velvet Trim Shadowbox. Deep set shadowbox with olive velvet trim and gilt painted backboard. The painting on wood is hung by a small hook. The back of the wood painting has fragments of burlap. No signature is found. The painting appears to be older than the rest of the shadowbox, most likely 19th Century. The painted backboard appears to be newer than the rest of the piece. In good condition with some wear conducive with age. The painting itself is weathered with striations throughout.
