Antique 18th Century Hand Painted Silk Masonic Apron, Framed
Antique 18th Century Hand Painted Masonic Apron, Framed. Antique Masonic apron with light blue fringe along the edges. Hand painted details include the all seeing eye at the top surrounded by a dark sky. Two hand painted columns (aka twin pillars of polarity) flank the gilt compass and square. Blue ribbon sits in the center of the apron. Beaded embroidery detailing surround two symbols at the top. One symbol is the eastern star and the other is the symbol of Pennsylvania, a keystone. Housed under glass in the original gilt plaster and wood frame. Apron is in good condition with wear consistent with age. Some spots and stains but overall in good condition. Not inspected out of the frame. The frame is in used condition. Scuffs, scratches, and chips to the gesso throughout. Please refer to pictures for details. At the Albert L.
