Geraldine Shapiro Raku Fired Matte Black Modernist Stoneware Vessel, Signed (ca. 1970) Monolithic style Raku fired black vessel. Faint hues of burnt red along the top and subtle white along the bottom (effects from the smoke of the firing). The interior (which can be seen only by the small reveal on the front) has a light grey metallic glaze. Cracks along the body of the vessel are results of the firing method and are not to be seen as damage. Signed on the bottom. In very good condition with wear consistent with age.
